IN 1983, the firm’s principals—Maureen and Stewart Lande, a husband and wife team—began in the technology field and became a leading Apple computer dealer and repair center. The company also became one of New York’s first Platinum Novell Networks re-sellers.
IN 1994, Maureen Data Systems (MDS) emerged from the sale of The Lande Group, a leading New York systems integrator, which was sold to a NASDAQ-listed IT firm, AlphaNet. At the time of the sale, The Lande Group had over 250 employees, four locations, and revenues of over $50 million—and was recognized as one of the “IT Leading Systems Integrators” by LAN Magazine.
IN 1995, MDS was incorporated as a woman-owned enterprise (WBE). MDS is now a WBE certified company at the local (NYC), state (NY & NJ) and federal levels. The company is headquartered in New York City and has three additional locations (Miami and San Juan).
TODAY, MDS has a 70+ unified team of seasoned engineers and technology consultants that possess a variety of skills and certifications.
Since co-founding MDS with her husband Stewart, Maureen Lande has focused on exceptional client experiences delivered through forward-thinking and well-implemented technologies. Maureen’s passion for technology and commitment to success has led her to become one of the industry’s most highly respected leaders. Her ability to cultivate and honor long-lasting relationships, paired with her intrinsic understanding of the value of technology investment, continually put her and MDS at the forefront of innovation in an increasingly demanding field.
Executive Vice President, COO
Stewart Lande has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from New York University. Formerly the president of The Lande Group, Stewart also worked at Grumman in defense systems design for many years. He offers a wealth of business expertise and insight, based on his years as a successful entrepreneur in a variety of other business ventures.
Director of Sales, Business Development
Joshua Lande joined MDS in 2007. He has held many positions within the company including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations. Josh currently serves as our business development executive dealing with our vendors, partners and clients to drive and maintain longstanding relationships helps contribute to the growth of MDS.
Practice Lead, Identity & Security
Ash Marcos leads the cyber security practice at MDS, providing proactive preventive solution from advanced cyber security threats including perimeter defense, secure network design, vulnerability discovery, penetration testing and intrusion-detection systems. With more than 16 years of experience, Ash additionally has extensive knowledge related to regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, GLBS, PCI, SOC, NERC/CIP, and FedRAMP.
Practice Lead, Infrastructure & Cloud
Jason Polce has been with MDS since 2010 and is an expert in designing, supporting, and building voice and data networks. He specializes in Networking, Data Design and Unified Communications. He hold multiple certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Citrix, and many of our other partners. He is also proficient in hybrid, public, and cloud technologies.
Practice Lead, Productivity & Applications
Gene Silva joined the MDS team in 2016. With over 20 years of IT consulting experience, Gene has implemented and overseen countless mid-size to enterprise-level deployments. With an in-depth understanding in messaging architecture, design, implementation, and migration, Gene can develop a comprehensive roadmap of the exact steps necessary to ensure your IT infrastructure is running at its finest. Gene is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert and Citrix certified.
Born with a knack for numbers and a passion for organization that borders on obsessive compulsion, Michael Greenspan has forged a career in the financial arts. With over half a score of experience in small business accounting and internal operations, Michael strives to streamline each process down to its most efficient form. A student of the world, Michael strives to convert daily experiences into useful knowledge for future application. Michael completed a degree in Finance from Rider University in 2005 and since then has perpetually been earning degrees in the school of hard knocks.
Vice President, Sales
John Ciaccio joined MDS in 1998. He is responsible for enterprise management among our clients and partners. John has over 25 years of experience as a solution provider focused on solving business challenges through key technology resources. He has a thorough understanding of technology sales, solution delivery and client management. His ability to develop long lasting relationships has led him to contribute to MDS winning the prestigious award from “Lockheed Martin for Small Business Partner of the Year.”
Director, International Sales
Matthew Maloney joined the Maureen Data Systems team in 2010 with extensive experience in both sales and in technology. A graduate of the University of Albany, SUNY, Matt has grown the international business for MDS throughout his years here. His main regions include Latin America/Carribean, Canada, and South America. Working closely with partners, he has helped implement technology infrastructure for an array of different businesses in these regions. Matt is headquartered in Miami, Florida.
