Microsoft recently announced the successful completion of the PCI DSS assessment for Microsoft Azure including Azure Public, Azure Government, and Azure Germany environments. Several new offerings were awaiting this certification to unblock key business opportunities for new RFIs like Visa and it a critical as an enabler for new RFIs like Mastercard (PCI DSS being a pre-requisite).
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) is a global information security standard designed to prevent fraud through increased control over credit card data. Customers can leverage Azure’s PCI DSS certification to reduce their compliance burden, enabling them to receive their own PCI DSS certifications.
The PCI DSS Attestation of Compliance (AOC) reports are available on the Service Trust Portal. You may also check the PCI DSS reports’ scope and coverage using Compliance Manager.
