The Challenge
The client did not have a standardized technology stack across the business, lacked the technology tools needed for visibility into their environment, was not GDPR compliant, and did not have internal leadership or vision.
Become compliant with Maureen Data Systems (MDS)
The Solution
MDS held a Security & Compliance event in March 2018 in the Caribbean where the firm was introduced to MDS. The client has offices throughout North America, EU, the Caribbean with 2,500+ employees. MDS was asked to complete an assessment to see if the Client had to abide by GDPR regulations. The Assessment quickly showed that the company had EU employees and had EU citizen data that was protected by GDPR compliance. MDS assigned vDPO to build structure and plan for GDPR Compliance. Standardize on mail and file sharing using Office 365. Implement features from both Microsoft SKU’s – Identity & Threat Protection and Information Protection & Compliance.
The Result
The client was able to be GDPR compliant as well as gearing up for any other compliance in requirements in the future, eliminating the risk of any fines or data privacy violations.
