Secure Cloud Migration & Microsoft Teams Deployment


MDS migrated a large financial services group located in the Bahamas to the cloud securely.

The Challenge

The client, with approximately 200 users, wanted to offer a more user-friendly IT experience to their employees, while also elevating their security infrastructure. This request right before hurricane season and eventually the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Solution

After assessing the client’s environment, MDS was able to fully migrate the client to Microsoft Azure. The Azure platform’s security and compliance framework was a huge factor for the client, as they deal with sensitive customer data. We ensured to implement key security tools such as Azure Information Protection (AIP) and M365 E5. On top of migrating them to the cloud, MDS was also sold them M365 licensing, elevating their technology infrastructure. We also deployed Microsoft Teams, a leading communication and collaboration platform, for their employees to stay connected, securely.

The Result

This migration and deployment ended up being worth more than the client could have ever imagined. After this implementation, their headquarters were hit with a devastating hurricane, prohibiting their employees to come into an office. Months later, they were hit again by the COVID-19 pandemic. All of their users were forced to work remotely. By having their information in the cloud and tools such as Microsoft Teams, their users were able to continue to work together and not have to worry about security and compliance issues.
